The Year of 2025/26
Tuesday, June 30, 2026, is the last day of the 2025/26 operative year, and the board warmly thanks everyone for their trust and engagement over the past months! For the curious, you will be able to read our annual report in the fall, but we’re giving you a short summary already!
Work Environment
In our work environment efforts, we have for the first time in years successfully filled all SAMO positions; every department has had a student representative in the local work environment group! Our SHAMO has, besides supporting and coordinating these SAMOs, also raised work environment issues for the faculty regarding accessibility on campus and identified areas for improvement in campus accessibility work.
Study/social
The traditional Humseks Drag Race was held on Walpurgis Night with great success! In addition to this, we’ve set up an association meeting where the associations connected to Göta, and based at the Humanities building, get direct contact with the section chairpersons and with each other. We’re also excited about a completely new association – Fiction & Fest – which has been awarded the Eva Wiberg scholarship!
Education Monitoring
Our student representatives have throughout the year continuously represented all students at both undergraduate and advanced levels, and with new student rep meetings on campus, their skills have had a chance to grow! They’ve received training on the Higher Education Act, the faculty structure, what preliminaries involve, how to write a document, and there have been many discussions about education funding. We’re so happy to see how student influence has developed and look forward to seeing it continue to grow in the next academic year!
Labour Market
For the second year ever, we have hosted the FramtidsHUM labour fair. After months of persistent work, we had a well-organized, engaging day where students and potential future employers could meet and form connections. Looking ahead to next year, we are excited to further develop the concept, with a clearer link between your education and selected employers!
Communication
During the year, we have worked hard to improve communication outwardly, to lower the barrier and make it easier to approach Göta Humsek. We have created reels, made posts explaining what different things involve, and uploaded articles here on the website. Through English subtitles, we have also been able to reach more international students, and we look forward to developing this contact even further.
